Politics forum cliche
How many references to "drinking the kool-aid" can we achieve in 2005? At least one a day I would think. Anyone have a better guess?
Seriously, it's a stupid expression. Be a little creative people. |

[/ QUOTE ] I wasn't sure if he meant "retarted" or "retarred". His "Loc:" line is cut short, and it is always hard to correctly differentiate between those 2 words without proper context. |

Re: Politics forum cliche
Think of it as shorthand elwood. I've been in arguements with people who say that there is no global warming. In fact my Dad is even one of these people. (I think he argues with me just because he is a lawyer and likes to play devils advocate.) He sent me some statements from a MIT meteorologist. A quick search revealed that man is on the RNC and several oil companies payroll at a rate of $1,500 a day. That's not bad for a teacher. I still have to discredit his statements a bit more, but you can't help but say that is kool-aid. I used that word when talking about that meteorolgist with my dad, which didn't go over well. I agree it is over used but a lot of people will believe any fact that supports what they want to believe. And people will go to extreme lengths when it comes to politics. Politics is full of kool-aid.
