The Party Poker Pattern Mapper
Most of the posters here think it's a joke, and their posts are meant to ridicule the groundbreaking ideas put forth in this book. Some of these posters are probably good enough to win money without knowledge of the patterns, but have no idea how much they are missing out on.
Other posters seem to be misapplying the concepts. I have seen many people posting cycles like "WLWLWWLLLW." It doesn't work like that. Poker is a multiway game, and you can't win every hand or every other hand. Furthermore, the patterns are various, so that it often takes awhile to see which one you are subjected to on a given night. It is not a foolproof system, but a majority of the time it is right. You have to do some hard work to figure out the underlying patterns from session to session, and generally it takes an hour or so of play before you latch on to this, but you can do a bit better than break even by just playing solid poker. Frankly, I think the posters here making jokes about this just have no idea what is going on. And there are others who I can't figure out if they are serious or not making ridiculous claims. Another common misunderstanding of pattern maps is who will win the hand. You will win some of the hands that were marked "L" in your pattern; this can make the pattern tough to decipher. The reason you will win is because most people don't have access to the patterns, and they will fold the hand that would have won. So you will actually win more than your fair share and should often play very good hands fast to push out the person who will win the hand if all cards are seen. Finally, as to whether or not one should fold AA, well, that depends. You have to judge for yourself whether or not the risk is worth it, given that somebody in the hand will definitely finish stronger than you. Try and eliminate people and all should be okay. But if you are risk-averse, you can just wait for your winner hands and make guaranteed money. Now, once you grasp what's going on, churning out money is as easy as it gets. Those who mock this system and its followers can come to my new 1.5 million dollar house for lessons. -Michael |

Re: The Party Poker Pattern Mapper
honestly there are people on this site that don't notice your attempt at humor/sarcasm... posts like this are really going against what this site was set up to promote.
not to attack you or anything, but i think the joke has gone on long enough. |

Well, they are readily available on e-bay. I thought googling was a standard skill these days.
