Flop % in Omaha8
It seems like a lot of the successful holdem players here have (poker tracker) V$IP %'s of between 15% and 20%. I guess that corresponds to around 20-25% seeing the flop. What would be a comparable statistic for Omaha8? What I'm really asking is what % flops do good player see?

Re: Flop % in Omaha8
My percentage is a few points lower in limit O8 than hold'em. I recently tracked 1000 hands and I think I saw 14% of the flops outside the blinds.

Re: Flop % in Omaha8
IT really depends on the table, you can get better odds to play play some weaker starting hands on the loose tables.

Re: Flop % in Omaha8
I assume you are talking about limit.
It depends how many tight players you have at the table. Get more than 3 super tight players and you must be supertight yourself. Last night I was playing a moderately tight game but gambling every once in a while and was up continuously for two hours. Then the players changed dramatically and I ended up quitting down because I didn't adjust. |

Re: Flop % in Omaha8
Im not a high stakes player,I but give you my two cents
At Stars or Party 0.5/1, passive game, I see the flop 24% of the time. At 3/6, more agressive game, on party, 19%. Anyway it depends a lot of the skill of the player. A very good player can play more hands, and win with them, I cant. Without the blind, I usually see the flop 17% of the time. |
