Default standard blind play?

My note on this player is
Tight/Aggressive SF: 16% / VP: 13% / PFR: 7% WSD: 28% / WonSD: 82%

I think the 82% showdown rate makes my turn raise just that much better. He can really get away from a hand.

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (7 handed)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.66 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.33 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises

Given your description of this player, the turn raise does look standard to me. For one there is a chance of getting a better hand to lay down here, although I would expect even an extremely tight player to show down top pair heads-up. You could possibly have the best hand anyway. And if not you could have as many as 17 outs to improve to the best hand. On top of that the turn raise may gain you a showdown at no additional cost those times you don't improve. If he calls the raise it's very unlikely you are ahead but I think this hand would still have a small amount of value in showing down here.

nice hand. you might also want to include some blind stats like: defends SB, defends BB and folds BB to a raise Heads-up.

The turn raise is a good play - it probably buys you a free showdown if you don't improve, and wins you an extra bet if you do, plus the equity you get from inducing a T to fold, maybe even a weak K? doubt it.

Like it. This player puts the "almost" in the statement "I'd almost never make this raise at Party 15/30."

He folded and I took it down. I'm glad you guys agreed this was the best line.
