Default Lucky 77?

My main concern is the flop raise and river check. A note on BB: Although the only time I played with him is this table, he has a VP$IP of 90, an aggression of .11, and a went to SD% of about 75%, so there's no real way to tell what he has. Sometimes he has nothing, sometimes he has runner-runner trips. Either way he just calls.

Hey Ric,

I read your post, thought for about 20 seconds, and realized I have nothing to say except that I play it the same as you.

I do get the feeling that you wouldn't have posted this hand if the BB just had 79o and missed his straight draw.

I play it the same way, except that I bet the river against the BB you described.

I guess on the river, with this opponent, I should ask 'can I beat a random hand 50% of the time?' and make my decision from that, correct? The hands he's shown down have at least a pair, at least the ones he played at my table.

This bet has value if the BB pays off with A and K high which is certainly possible for the biggest of fish. So bet and be shocked when he calls with a worse hand or folds his busted draw.

You certainly missed out on a bet on the river. It became obvious when the SB did not 3-bet on the flop that rather than having a high pocket pair, he had two high cards. I would pound away on every street, getting every bet possible. 90% of the time you have the best hand here. And sadly enough, 90% of the time you'll get paid by AK on the river as well.

BB had K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I doubt he would have called a river bet.
