1) 22 folded to you in MP2

limp

2) 66 folded to you in MP2

limp

3) A6s folded to you in MP2

I've started open raising with suited Aces, but I think this is too early, I limp but feel iffy about it.

4) KTs on the button, 4 limpers

Ugh. I raise.

5) A9s on the CO, 4 limpers

depending on reads, limp or raise.

6) 88 in the BB, TAG raises UTG, coldcalled by 1 fish, LAG 3bets from SB

fold. the TAG UTG raise scares me.

7) K5s on the button, 4 limpers

I lay this down, but I think Ed wants me to call.

8) 55 UTG+1, TAG raises UTG

Fold.

9) 55 CO, LAG openraises from CO-1

Cold call.

10) A7o in the SB, weak fish open limps from CO. BB is TAG.

Raise, 'cause I think I might be able to fold the BB, but I could easly just complete or fold here.

11) A6o on the button, weak fish open limps from CO, blinds are tight

Fold.

12) same as 11, blinds are loose

Still a fold I think.

13) 88 in the BB, TAG raises from UTG, coldcalled by entire table

CALL.

14) A5s UTG+1, TAG raises from UTG

If I think the whole table will call this cold, I might, otherwise it's a fold.

15) same as 14, but LAG

Same answer. My concern isn't the raiser, 'cause I'm pretty much looking for my flush, it's will I have the odds based on my reads.

16) 44 UTG+1, UTG raise

Fold.

17) A9o 4 limpers to you in the CO

Fold.

18) ATo in the BB, TAG raises UTG, 3 callers

Fold.

19) A8s in the BB, 6 limpers

check my option.

20) JTo in SB, UTG raises, 3 callers

Fold.

wow I must be a rock...all of you guys seem to be way looser than me.

I don't see why you would limp with those small pairs when it has been folded too you. It would have to be an awful loose table for me to do so. I certainly would not do it at the party 0.5/1, which is becoming increasingly tight.

Party .5/1 has never been so tight (for me) that those limps are bad moves.

Are you confident you will have four or more opponents when open limping in early middle position?

I sure am not at the party 0.5/1.

I think you can anticipate 3 or 4 LP opponents by just limping. If you get 3 in for a bet then you only need to collect 4.5 SB's between the flop and the river to make it profitable. That should be doable on average IMO.

and if it gets raised by one player behind and everybody else folds? This kind of thing does happen, and when they do, its pretty much a disaster to our implied odds. Even if it gets raised and 3 players call you have to collect 9 sb after the flop. That is not always possible. added to all of the above, you sets does not always hold up.

Do you guys who open limp with small pairs in middle position have stats that shows that it is EV+ to do so?

1) 22 folded to you in MP2
Call

2) 66 folded to you in MP2
Call, if table was tight, raise.

3) A6s folded to you in MP2
Call, and hope a few more limp along

4) KTs on the button, 4 limpers
raise.

5) A9s on the CO, 4 limpers
Raise or call, depending on the how fishy the limpers are, leaning toward call

6) 88 in the BB, TAG raises UTG, coldcalled by 1 fish, LAG 3bets from SB
fold, not because of the 3 bet, because of the TAG UTG raise.

7) K5s on the button, 4 limpers
Call, I'll play Kxs on the button or CO with 4 limpers all day.

8) 55 UTG+1, TAG raises UTG
Fold

9) 55 CO, LAG openraises from CO-1
Raise, hoping to isolate.

10) A7o in the SB, weak fish open limps from CO. BB is TAG.
Raise to get the tight BB out and get it heads up with the fish.

11) A6o on the button, weak fish open limps from CO, blinds are tight
Raise, for same reason as above.

12) same as 11, blinds are loose
Fold, dont want to play A6o vs. 3 random hands.

13) 88 in the BB, TAG raises from UTG, coldcalled by entire table
easy call, raise probably isn't bad either.

14) A5s UTG+1, TAG raises from UTG
turbo-muck.

15) same as 14, but LAG
still probably muck, dont want to see a 3-bet behind me

16) 44 UTG+1, UTG raise
fold, i dont play small pairs early with a raise in front

17) A9o 4 limpers to you in the CO
fold, A9o is cheese. I would open-raise with it in the CO tho.

18) ATo in the BB, TAG raises UTG, 3 callers
turbo-fold. When a TAG raises UTG I'm looking for reasons to fold, ATo is cheese vs. a TAG's raising hands. That's a good reason.

19) A8s in the BB, 6 limpers
Call. ATs or higher I'll raise with this many limpers.

20) JTo in SB, UTG raises, 3 callers
fold. suited I'd call.
