Default Party 10% Bonus?

I was at a local Tourn. this week and a buddy told me that he keeps over $1,000 in his Party acount. They pay him 10% of "the" balance as long as he stays over $200 and plays 200 hands in a month.

(* I am at work and cannot access the Party Site. *)

Is this true? If so, do you have any details? Have you used it?

Thanks!

I think you had to have an account before Jan 2003 or sometime like that.

All I know is that I missed out

yup he got it right, only old accounts. I can't remember the exact date. Just go to your account and go to history and you will see the interest being deposited on the first of each month.

You don't get interest in months when you have made more than 2 withdrawals or account transfers.

Your buddy is correct Its called "Bonus on Balance"

You need to keep a minimum of $200 in your account and play the 200 hands per month and they then work out your average amount in your account over the month and give you a 10%
bonus based on your average amount. This is then credited to your account on the 1st of every month....

"Note: The bonus amount would be credited to your account at 10.00 am on the 1st of every month"

But your account does need to have been active before a certain date to receive this bonus and at the moment I cant find this information on their site. Maybe someone else can?

There's one important thing no one mentioned. It's 10% per year, paid every month. Not 10% every month.

So if you had an average of $1200 in your account for the month you'd get $10 not $120.

If they somehow let you do this, please let me know and I will hound them until the day I die. It was for all accounts created before January 2003 and I missed it by like 3 weeks. I'd keep the max $10,000 in there if they'd let me. $80/month is $80/month.

Really, its not all that its cracked up to be. I have an old account, and ocassionally take advantage of the bonus on balance. The biggest problem is the 2 cash out a month restriction. The loss of financial flexibility is arguably worth more than the bonus paid out. If nothing else, you really have to plan your cash-outs carefully. Second, exactly how comfortable are you with the idea of leaving $10k in your off-shore poker account indefinitely?
