Interesting turn decision
At least I consider it to be.
$2/$4 online. I played the hand several days ago and just played a short session, so I don't have any notes on the players involved. I do recall that the table was a touch tighter than normal, and there wasn't a single aggressive player there. We are 7-handed at this point. I'm in the BB and get dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Folded to MP who calls, folded to SB who completes, I inexplicably just check. No explanation for this; just one of those things I did while playing some poker one night. Anyway, flop comes, and it's a beauty: K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, I bet, both call. Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks. I bet again. MP now raises, and the SB makes it $12. ~9BB in the pot (minus rake). Well??? -McGee |

Re: Interesting turn decision
I fold.
You have all sorts of outs but no particularly clean ones. 5 outs to either trips or two pair, which may already be beat by a flush 9 outs to second nut flush, which may be no good, based on the turn betting The check-3bet by SB must mean _something_ (possibly a bare A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]). It may well be capped by MP. There will likely by signifcant river action. Just seems like having to put in a lot of money on a draw that may not hit, or worse, may hit and you'll still lose. |
