Maybe QJo, J5o, or something as good as AT. also, it occured to me that maybe he had KQ, and was trying to trap me into pushing all-in. Although I had a very strong hand 4 handed, my instincts were telling me that I was beat, and did not want to raise his turn bet. When I went back and thought about the hand, I need to raise the turn here. I have two pair which will hold up a lot of the time in these 4 handed situations. Although I thought he might have me beat, I still need to push all-in on the turn, because at this point, I have pretty much commited myself to the pot. By only calling, I am giving hands like AQ or QT a VERY cheap draw to the straight. Misplay on my part, but in the end, it didn't really matter did it, because he played me like an instrument on this hand. The only thing that upset me slightly was his call on the flop with only a gutshot (of course, he also had six A outs). I raised enough to make his flop call incorrect, but maybe I should've raised more. Just some random thoughts Ajizzle |

Hi ajizzle,
Hrmmmmm.... I really don't like KJo, and especially not if you're on the bubble. But you're in the pot on KJ, I think you have to push in at the flop with top pair. Punish Aces if they want to draw at you, and if AT calls and catches ... well, he'll lose money on that call more often than he'll win it. Cris |

KJ off is such a tricky hand to play even four handed. You have to assume this close to the end of the tourney that at least one of the callers may have called with better than you and hit a big draw if not a better hand (two pair, better K, straight draw open-ended or not, flopped set). My only thought is that calling PF is incorrect. If your coming in at that late stage in the tourney, you should be coming in for a raise or not at all. Just a thought.
