Hypothetical Tourney Situation
It is day 1 of a large buy-in no-limit tourney. The whole table has approximately 10k chips, and the blinds are 25-50. After 2 limpers, you raise with QQ to 275. Both limpers call, so the pot is 825.
The flop comes K72 rainbow, the first limper bets out 650, and the second limper folds. What is your plan? |

Re: Hypothetical Tourney Situation
Fold. Maybe I get pushed around later on if I fold, but I'm not spewing chips in the early stages of the wsop (or other big tounament) with lots of play still left and without a good read in a spot were its likely I am behind with only a few outs.

Re: Hypothetical Tourney Situation
Depends entirely on my read of the limpers. Absent a read, I fold.

Re: Hypothetical Tourney Situation
Do you have a read on this guy? Are you going to get a read on him when you call? I mean, will his displeasure, if any, with your call be apparent to you?
If the answer to all of these is no, then just fold. If there's a good chance he doesn't have you beat, then call, and see what he does on the turn. If you know nothing about him, then I'd say that there is NOT a good chance he doesn't have you beat. That is, most people in a big event will have at least KT to bet this flop.
