Vegas Trip Advice - Poker & March Madness!!
Going to Vegas tomorrow night, staying at the MGM (not my choice). Going to play lots of poker and watch lots of NCAA basketball. Which poker rooms do you recommend near the MGM? I am looking for low-limit games ($2/$4 - $4/$8), no tournies. I have heard good things about the expanded Excalibur room? Is it far from MGM? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Second question is sports gambling related. Can anyone tell me about the MGM sports book? Are there plenty of seats and TV's? Most importantly, what is the drink policy if you are betting on games? Thanks for you help! Jerrypards |

Re: Vegas Trip Advice - Poker & March Madness!!
Excalibur is very close to the MGM.
The MGM has a very nice, large sportsbook and you can drink there all day for free (assuming you've got a couple of betting stubs). It will be packed tight all day during the tournament, so if you want a seat, get there early. |

Try the 4/8 game at Mandalay Bay. You can walk across the strip to NYNY then over the the Excalibur where you can catch the tram to Mandalay Bay. Nice poker room, soft games, great eye candy, and a huge sports book right next door.

Mandalay Bay is the best choice for a combination of low-limit hold 'em and great sports book.
