Default passing up half a pot

A very rare weeknight appearance last night at the Commerce for me. Playing a loose 40-80 game I'm dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the cutoff.

Well, there is no raise preflop--a surprise. I limped (?)
after three other limpers. Button and both blinds in also, making it seven-handed.

Flop is:

K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

UTG bets and gets two callers, and I call. Button calls also. Only the SB folds. Turn is:

[K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Right card, wrong suit. Again UTG bets. There is one call to me and I call (?). Button raises. Two folds to UTG. Rest call, including me. River is:

[K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

UTG bets, next player folds and I fold. Comments?

You can't expect to play A-T as well as I do.

I'm curious. Exactly what card were you hoping would fall on the river that makes you able to call? I guess I don't see the point in calling the turn if you're going to fold to a non- [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] river.

Why did you call the turn?

Thanks, Sean

Default results

Button raised again, and UTG called.

Button had A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and UTG had 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (I think she misread her hand and she was on tilt).

I like my fold. Actually I should have raised on the flop and have considered a turn raise also. Not played well.

Were you screwing around or was this really your best effort?

The button would have raised the flop with a flush draw, which is probably why UTG felt it was ok to bet the river.

I would have folded this hand pre-flop. Barring that, I would have folded this on the flop. Barring that, I would have raised the turn and would have considered folding to a 3-bet (depends on the player who did the 3-betting).

Default wow.

how can you be scared of a 3 flush board for one more bet against loose players even if it is half the pot.
Work out how many times you would have to be up against a flush.
