Default PartyPoker 1-2 (6 max)

I think these games are terrible. The fluctuations are too large. You always seem to get out drawn. People stay in with anything. You need to play so tight that it seems that the blinds start to kill you. Plus the rake is 50 cents from every $5 pot.

Is there anyone out there that thinks differently about these games? If so, you must be winning. How do you adjust to this game to make it profitable?

i think that means that people feel differently about them. from what i hear these games are very aggressive which will give you some crazy variance

Love 'em.

Players tend to be looser and more aggressive. Also just plain worse.

Keep your starting requirements, but since you're always closer to the button and you have fewer people in the pot ahead of you and fewer to act behind you, you should often end up playing more hands and bringing them in for a raise more often.

Stay tight, value bet more, bluff less.

Most of all, the smaller table will allow you to focus more on individual players. At a smaller table the skill level and play style of your opponents becomes even more important. With only 5 characters to juggle you can usually get a much better sense of the table's psychogeography, and that's when the real fun begins.

Not sure if you just made this up or if it's a real word, but man...that's cool.

smokin' these games. I avoid limping. If my hand is strong enough to play, I'm usuallt open-raising. I play with like I'm in LP in a 10-player game. 5k hand for 5.6 BB/100 hands.

made the move from 2/4 full to 1/2 shorthanded at party 2 months ago. couldnt be happier. im actullay making more than i did at 2/4 full and i was doing well there. ive only been playing this for 2 months but i dont understand why people say there is so much variance. there is alot of variance in each session but i win 7 out of 10 sessions. seems like my bankroll consistantly grows at about the same rate each week. maybe ive just been lucky. i only play 1 table.
