10/20 and 5/10
Which is more profitable, playing one 10/20 or playing two 5/10 tables?

Re: 10/20 and 5/10
All other things being equal, I believe the consensus was that the variance was lower at the two five ten games, but the rake was higher. It would seem that one ten twenty would be more profitable in the long run.
However, all things are rarely equal...it is very likely that players in the ten twenty game are somewhat tougher, so that could change the situation back in favor of the two five tens, but concentrating on two games rather than one can tilt back in favor of one ten twenty. The answer to most questions like this is usually it depends. |

cyndie:
You were using hesitant language in your post. Since you played 3,000,000 hands, can't you tell us about your own wonderful experiences about playing 3 tables of 10/20? You can't because you don't even play poker. |

Re: 10/20 and 5/10
i play 3 tables of ten twenty stud on many occasions. However, I usually try to give the reader the opportunity to come to his or her own conclusions. I don't try to make decisions for other people. So you are right...the posts are tentative.
I am playing as scoophl on party right now...you are welcome to come and verify that I will gradually get to three ten twenty tables...stop by and say hi! |

Re: 10/20 and 5/10
well, tonight it was definitely right to play two ten twenties...not three. I was stuck almost 400 until I cut back to two. Then I went up $900 for a nice $500 win. Thanks!
BTW, I almost always avoid the 5/10 stud tables at Party...they seem to be much rockier than the 3/6 or the 10/20 or for that matter the 20/40...go figure that one out. |

2 tables does not equal double win rate. If you lurk enough to mock cyndie, you really should know that.
