Sitting out - forefitting chips?
Happened to look thru "Poker Tournament Strategies" by Sylvester Suzuki (2+2=4) and came to the section - Tips for tournament Managers, starting reading a few lines seeing if any of 'em could be used on the net and maybe there were.
The 5th paragraf is suggesting that the players not arriving by the first intermission should forfeit their chips and that management should take away their seat and chips from the tourney. What do you think about that, could that be used on internet tournaments, both freerolls and usual MTT? Of course all no showers are gone by the first intermission (mostly, if not huge tourneis) but having a shorter intermission after 30 minutes and lift the deadweight of? Or is the net still not reliable enough for this sort of idea to work out? |

Re: Sitting out - forefitting chips?
I think this would be a great improvement over the current system, especially at a site like Prima where the structure allows no-shows to still end up with a piece of the prize pool for some tourneys.
