What\'s a typical rake?
I'm thinking about going to Ho-Chunk in Wisconsin Dells. They have a 10% rake, with a $4 max.
(i'd be playing at a $2-$4 table) Is that a reasonable rake, or no? |

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
It seems high. Vegas is 10% rake with 3$ max, but extra $1 goes
to the badbeat jack pot. Maybe thats part of your $4. |

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
the rake at foxwoods 2-4 is 10% $4 max and they don't have a jackpot.

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
It's a typical rake, but it is still very tough to beat at this limit. Move up as soon as possible if your financial situation and your play will allow it.

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
most games where they rake at a higher rate than 5% arent really beatable unless most all the pots you play tend to go way over the rake limit size. even then its iffy. you do need to graduate to bigger games if winning rahter than playing is important.

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
daryn, what are the Foxwoods rakes at other limits up to 6/12? I'll be making my first B&M trip ever in a couple of weeks and don't really know what to expect.

Re: What\'s a typical rake?
foxwoods has the 2-4, 4-8, 5-10 with kill, 10-20 and 20-40 usually..
sadly i cannot answer your question because i don't know the rakes for the higher games, even though i play in them! i just know that it's about the same money wise, and since the limits are higher, it's a smaller percentage of the average pot.. i'm sure someone on here knows the exact rakes for the higher games though |
