Default What hands to raise with in the BB after limpers?

You are dealt AJo in the BB. This table is loose aggressive, but this time, there are three limpers to you, and nobody has raised. You consider the chance of a limp-reraise or a slowplayed big hand to be low; it is probable that you have the best hand. The limpers are neither terrible nor fantastic postflop players.

Is it best to raise here or just call? I've been raising, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

i would check here. you are not that far ahead, and if you flop a jack it may be best to keep the pot fairly small so you can maximize your chances of winning it.

with AQ it would be a close call, and AK i raise. one big consideration is that when you flop top pair with these hands you have less to fear on the turn and river, because straight draws are less likely and (especially) you have fewer overcards to worry about.

Nate,

Check your option. I do not agree with raising A J offsuit after three limpers.
