Default PokerTracker questions

I have the older version of PokerTracker. What is needed to install the newer one? I.e., can I install it and it will simply upgrade the older version, or do I need to install it on its own and somehow move over my database?

And someone mentioned the other night PT has an auto-request function for hand histories? Is this the newer version? And where is it, if it's on the older one?

Thanks...

The auto request is only in version 2

You can upgrade from version one to version 2 for free (assuming you're a registered v1 user)

You need to download the new version 2 program and install it, and then get a reg code from Pat to have a registered copy of version 2.

The upgrade (of your database) is fairly straight forward, there are directions provided.

Hope that helps,
jHE

I believe PT v2 has a utility to convert your old DB to the form needed with v2. The PT website or help file should tell you how to actualy do it.

The Auto-request hand-history is only in the new version (its the little hand button I believe). Its not as good as the Pokerstat auto-requester but its better than nothing.

Yes, converting from v2 is straight forward, but time-consuming (as can be expected, if you have 10's of thousands of hands to convert). It basically exports your current hh's back to text, then you import those text files. Works great.

You're going to love v2. This product just keeps getting better and better.
