Default Whoring on the really sleazy side: Non poker Casinos

I was gonna post this in the Intercasino thread, but then i decided it should be its own thread, even though the board is cluttered enough as it is, becuse I'm member #180 and I said so.

Agreed. I cleared about 3.5k in casino bonuses.

Caveats:

Its very dry, boring work.

You gotta really really study the fine print.

You have to really understand the games. All the blackjack games are different rules and different nubers of decks, and basic strategy changes. Some of the video poker machines have non tradional payouts, changing optimal strategy. I wrote a program in Matlab to calculate optmal plays on the fly for any given payout table.

You have to really understand SD, winrate, and bankroll concepts. If you play too small, you take too long to clear your bonuses and it isnt worth your time. If you play too large, you go broke.

And most of all: they hate you. They think you're scamming them. If you're too obvious (buy in, play exactly the minimum, cash out everyting) They confiscate your money and call you a "promotion abuser." You will have to struggle once in a while to get your money. You'll have to call, write, fax your drivers liscence and recent bills, you name it. All the while being firm, polite, and pretending you just want to make sure everythings on teh up and up before you deposit large sums. (that line always worked for me)

Its good money, and I needed it at the time, but it aint easy and it aint fun, kinda like whoring on the sleazy side of town.

Best,

Zooey

And as you probably noticed it's easy to clear much more than that...

Partly true, true and not true in my opinion.

It's sometimes boring, but I prefer spicing it up by playing large and getting some excitement. It increases EV and decreases playing time. Considering the little skill required it is VERY well paid work and compared to low pay jobs it's fun in my opinion.

Yes, you need to read the fineprint. But after reading some you can do it very fast without missing anything of importance.

No, you do not need to study perfect play for every game. For getting the most from each bonus, yes. But if you have limited amounts of time it's more profitable to spend the time playing more bonuses than to learn perfect strategies.

Don't agree here either. In the long run it will make marginal differences if you play small or big bets. It's just a decision of how much variance you can stand compared to how much time you are ready to spend. I can take a big variance, and thus save time.

This depends entierly on which casinos you chose to deal with. If you chose carefully you will have few, if any, problems at all. If you don't chose or want to "play 'em all" it can be a big pain in the butt. With the advice you just gave combined with using mediators and message boards you will usually get out of trouble however.

Good money indeed. In my opinion very easy compared to a daytime job and fun compared to most non-skilled jobs. The biggest "con" in my opinion is (just like poker), the feeling that you don't "contribute" at all. Your "work" is no good for anyone else but you. You are only taking from someone elses pocket putting it in your own.

Best,

Zooey

I was thinking of taking this walk over to the sleezy side of town but am little reluctant. I was thinking (as ive been known to do), why dont we try to compose a comprehencive list of online casinos like we have for poker bonus whores. I wouldnt know the first place to start on this bonus whore tour but maybe some other 2+2ers do?

I really wish someone would post a list of all the sites and all their bonus percentages and how long/easy it would take/be to get the bonuses. I don't think there have been enough posts on that. That is definitely what someone needs to do.

I've been knee deep in bonus whoring lately, so I feel pretty qualified to do it. I have the day off from work tomorrow(woohooo) and this is on my list of things to do. It's going to be pretty detailed. It's probably something that I will add to my website but do the first draft here. Later.

There should be a sarcastic face. Maybe it's . or .

Research the archives (you don't even have to go that far back, I don't think). There are plenty of posts about bonus whoring, so don't bother. They are pretty detailed.

I couldn't just sit at my desk at work knowing I sarcastically let someone do all that work for nothing. Well, I could've. But I'm on a moral high today. You caught me on a good day.

Beware of sarcasm on 2+2. It's everywhere you go.
