thoughts on FPP\'s
Many sites have FPP's.
If you were to take the best features and worst features and design your own system, What would you be sure to include. I'll get the list started with a few of my own best and worst. please add to it and lets see what 'the player's idea of a good FPP program is. Best 1) Being able to get another reload bonuses, before playing off the current one. 2) prizes and tournament entries where the FFP's have a resonable value...not .0036 per point 3) unlimited time to earn bonus..or at least 6 months. 4) Immediate deposit to my account once bonus is earned worst 1) easily earned points that have a ridiculously low value for redemption. 2) not being given the advertised bonus and then getting poor support from customer service 3) Customer service that can not anwser the simple question about the bonuses or promotioms. things I would like as prizes... Tournament entrys hats/shirts and jackets trips to vegas redemption for cash I only put a few so that others could add to it. If you have some time between hands...think about it and add to the list. |

Re: thoughts on FPP\'s
I want only one thing: cash.
I don’t like tournaments. It makes no sense to me to “reward” ring game players with tournament entries that take those players out of the revenue producing ring games. I don’t want my “reward” to enable me to “buy” advertising material for the site from the site. T-shirts should just arrive in the mail, ala Paradise, as a pleasant and unexpected gift. If only they weren’t so ugly. I think the Vegas tradition of a jacket for a royal flush if also a fine idea. Anyway, back to cash. Perhaps an escalating scale, rewarding players who put in more hours per month with a bigger cash rebate. That would get my attention. What would I do if I were running it? I’d use the Benny Binion method; just give the regular players some money once in a while and say “Thanks for playing here.” Seems to me that that sort of unexpected, unpredictable reward would have a very strong effect on player retention. |

Re: thoughts on FPP\'s
Cash is definitely the best reward. I think Pacific's plan is actually pretty good in this regard.
If poker sites want people to wear their logo, they should just give away their merchandise for free like Paradise. |

Re: thoughts on FPP\'s
Some things I would redeem my FPP's (presently collecting dust at Stars and UB) for...
Cash/Rake back - I may lose my shirt playing, but I can easily buy another one. Show me the money. Amazon gift vouchers - I already own HPFAP, TOP, HLSFAP etc (and btw they didn't help me to get laid, David). How about letting players buy something they really want? Doesn't have to be limited to Amazon either. Computer hardware/peripherals - Mousemats don't qualify. Satellite/Tournament entries - NOT freerolls. V. |
