Rules clarification for a home tournament
Some friends of mine are coming up with a published set of tournament rules. Here's a situation that a copule of us are trying to clarify.
Let's say you have 3 players left in a tournament. The big blind is eliminated. Who should now get the button and small blind on the next hand? Player 1 or 2 as shown below in the diagram. D 1 BB 3 SB 2 |

Heads up the small blind is on the button.

I may be incorrect, but I think logic says to me that the one who paid the SB is now the BB, and the other guy would then have to be the button and SB.
Am I right? |

D 1
BB 3 SB 2 if BB, seat 3, is knocked out this hand then the dealer button moves to seat 2 and he becomes the new dealer and SB (again) since the blinds switch when play becomes heads up Jon |

Re: Rules clarification for a home tournament
The problem with that would be that the player in position 1 would get the dealer button twice.

Re: Rules clarification for a home tournament
The position that would be next in line for the BB gets it, and the other player gets SB on the button.
