Default I tried to be smart at this hand

Cryptologic 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) link

SB is very loose and chases a lot.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, MP1 calls, 1 folds, MP3 calls, 1 folds, Button calls, SB calls, 1 folds.

Flop: (11.00 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, Button folds, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, SB calls.

Here i'm starting suspect SB has K9 or K2, but also K with a ok kicker

Turn: (13.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP1 folds, MP3 folds.

River: (15.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB raises, Hero calls.

I was about 70-80% sure at the river that he has K9 or K2 and that i have him beaten.

Final Pot: 25.50 BB.

How was this play?

K2? Do people really play K2 on 0,25/0,50 at Cryptologic?

Since you posted the river, if he had K9 I would be surprised alot by the river action since that second J killed his hand. I am putting him on something like K with a 10+ kicker or 99 here. We are either WA or WB.

I would prolly chicken out when he doesn't slow on the river to just call his 3-bet being afraid of KJ and 99 which is likely here.

I would worry more about a set here then 2 pair. Granted he is in a blind so odd hands like K2 and K9 are a lttle more likely than if he were in early position but you did raise in front of him so even for a loose player these are not terribly likely. On the other hand 99, and 22 seem to be hands he might have called your raise with (KK I would have expected a reraise)

On the flop I think capping is ok since he could be pushing with K / good kicker (again this type of hand would make sence given his pre flop play).

On the turn when you have shown this much strength and he leads back into you I agree with slowing down and just calling.

The second J on the river does not help you against a set so I would c/c here as well.

I think SB's river 5-bet is really spewage.

But going by the numbers, there's 6 set combos for Villain and 18 2p combos. Things don't really change on the turn, so by the river we're probably good 3/4 times. 3/4>2/3 so I raise and call a 3-bet since I don't think a broken 2p 3-bets often enough to cap.
