QQ against rock (?)
This player is 19/9, but only after 50 hands or so. I have a note on him he's playing weak and scared.
I was thinking about preflop, but I think a 3-bet is in order. After he caps, I'm pretty lost. KK seems not plausible, I'm not sure if he caps AK preflop. Probably dumping the turn is good as we are only ahead of JJ now? Re: QQ against rock (?)
I think you should have raised the flop to get a better read on his hand. The way you played it, yes I think you can fold to the turn bet.

Re: QQ against rock (?)
I just call it down.
I think Calling > Raising > Folding. Or raising the turn and taking a free showdown unless you happen to spike a Queen might be good. If three bet on the turn, you can fold. How does that sound to anyone? |

Re: QQ against rock (?)
if he is playing scared, c/r the flop and lead the turn. IMO if he's got a K, he calls the turn and you can give up. I hate check/calling this down.

Re: QQ against rock (?)
let's fold the flop, unless we want to pay to see the rock's AA or KK.

Re: QQ against rock (?)
your gutshot makes the turn close, so the turn doesnt really matter much.
if you see the river you have to bet/fold though. check/calling is so bad there |

Re: QQ against rock (?)
If we bet/ck raise the turn we can't lay it down to a raise. We would be getting 8 or 9:1 with 6 fairly clean outs against AA,AK,QQ(splitting) and 4 outs against KK. Just calling the turn is fairly thin though.
I agree we should bet/fold the river if we miss. |

Re: QQ against rock (?)
I would check-fold on the flop against this player It's not worth 5 SB to chase down an 8 SB pot. At 13:5, you need to be wrong about 28% of the time with your read order for you to break even.
And on the subject of your read... [ QUOTE ] After he caps, I'm pretty lost. KK seems not plausible, I'm not sure if he caps AK preflop. Probably dumping the turn is good as we are only ahead of JJ now? [/ QUOTE ] Are you suggesting that he doesn't cap AK, but caps TT? This doesn't make sense to me. Also, if he caps AA-TT and not AK and he plays weak and scared, why aren't you betting the flop when you're most likely ahead? |

Re: QQ against rock (?)
flop c/r is a must there i think to see if you get 3bet, then you can bet-fold or check-fold the turn.
Since you didnt raise the flop i would fold the turn. In my aggro world i'd c/r the flop and if called, bet the turn. i could call the turn raise for a J/Q river and bet-fold the river UI probably. That way i get a bet in on every street and look like a chip spewer |

Re: QQ against rock (?)
Why is everyone assuming this guy only has QQ-AA or AK? After 50 hands, for all you know, this guy could be a 30/20 who ran into a cold stretch.
