NL 100, AA on an ugly flop
Haven't played many hands with SB or CO. Neither has done anything in the 20 hands or so that we have played that has caught my attention.
I've been playing typical TAG.stats for that session => 19.17/7.5/4.25 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx saw flop UTG ($86.40) UTG+1 ($99) MP1 ($102) MP2 ($89) Hero ($167.05) CO ($116.75) Button ($110.80) SB ($102.80) BB ($114) Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50. 4 folds, Hero raises to $4, CO calls $4, 1 fold, SB (poster) calls $3.50, 1 fold. Flop: ($13) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets $10, Hero ??? I'm now bet into on an ugly flop for aces. I don't think I can cold call here especially with the CO yet to act but I'm not sure what a good line would be. Any advice would be appreciated. |

If you fold this, you are a good player or on your way to being one.

Re: NL 100, AA on an ugly flop
If you are BB with K7 and the pot is limped with multiple limpers, flop comes KQJ, forgetting about that hand is usually a good idea. As in c/f it.

Re: NL 100, AA on an ugly flop
raise or fold...calling will get you into problems on the turn...I'm ok with raising to 30 and folding to a raise...I'm also ok with folding, but I know it hurts to fold AA :P

I'm either not good enough or too stubborn to fold here, but you're pretty much always crushed or gambling.

Re: NL 100, AA on an ugly flop
I folded CO called $10
9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the turn SB bet $20 and CO called 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the river SB checks and CO checks SB had AKo and CO had QJs(hearts) and won with the straight I considered bumping it to 30 which might have folded CO and gotten me to a showdown with the SB or even folded him off. I decided to fold without a good read on either and the board being that bad. |
