Calling river with A high

Villain is about 50/25 preflop (only 40 hands or so). He's kind of wacky preflop, and raising between $1-$4. He doesn't seem terrible postflop though, and plays fairly normal from the looks of it. This is my first pot against him. Stupid flop bet? How's the river.

MP probably hit that jack. I see it something along hte lines of Jx of hearts, and he spiked. I fold.

Fold the river. You beat nothing but a missed flush draw. At this level I think villain has something, probably a J with no kicker or a 9. If he bluffs you off, no biggee, he'll try it again when you are holding the goods. You don't him to think you are a showdown moppit.

I usually repop it to about $10 pre-flop. With a read, I make this call.
