Default Bottom set on 3straight board

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero ($103.90)
BB ($22.50)
UTG ($88.30)
MP ($99.20)
CO ($132.85)
Button ($118.05)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, CO raises to $4.5</font>, 1 fold</font>, Hero calls $4, 1 fold</font>, UTG folds, MP calls $3.50.

Flop: ($15.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)</font>
Hero bets $7</font>, MP raises to $14</font>, CO calls $14, Hero calls $7.

Turn: ($57.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP checks, CO checks.

River: ($57.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets $40</font>, Hero folds, MP calls $40.

Final Pot: $137.50

I was about a 100% positive that CO had an overpair in this hand and that's why i led, hoping to get raised. After MP raised me and CO called i was even more positive that he had an overpair, but MP worried me. If i push the only thing that is calling is 77 88 or 9T, possibly 45 and also 78 call here too. I thought pushing was too big a bet but i also didnt want to make it 40, fold out the overpair and not know what to do if a 5, 9, or T falls on the turn so i just called the flop raise.

Should i push and just be happy with the pot if everyone folds and if i get it in against a straight or higher set just hope for the best?

Don't like bet size on the flop.

so would u lead at this pot (larger) or check-raise. I guess it is like inducing a bluff in that if u induce a bluff u must call. Similarly if i bet to get raised so that i can 3bet, i must 3bet if raised as was intended. I just got scared at the time.

I am getting it all in on the flop. If he has a straight already I'll suck out and make my boat or quad on the river.
