Something is slightly wrong preflop...BB raises to 9 I guess?

Flop: 10 is small...I make it at least 15
Turn: I bet out again...I fold to a raise probably
River: I check behind if he checks (since I bet on the turn), or I call his bet if its reasonable

I agree preflop but I dont bet the turn.
What do he know about this guy? Is he solid tricky? I find I get c/r on the turn here when I bet a SIGNFICANT portion of the time and then I have to fold the best hand way too often.

well, its either bet turn and check river, or check turn and call river.

Now, if I check turn, I feel that Villain will bet the river a LARGE amount of the time, and when he does, I have no idea where I'm at.

If I bet turn, the chance of me getting checkraised is LESS than the above scenario, and it also gives me a better idea where I'm at, and probably a free river.

Id call a lot of river bets, since everdraw expect jxs missed. As for turn, betting increases your chance of being checkraised, because if you dont bet, your chance of being checkraised is 0%

lol yea, but I feel my chances of being checkraised are lower than someone betting the river if I check behind.

Therefore, I don't want to check behind, as if I do, I'll almost always be put in a situation where I"ll have to call a river bet not knowing where I'm at.

i would say 2/3 pot on the turn, but some would call that spewing.

him betting half the pot seems weird - i call here hoping he flips AK.

I don't think you effed it up that bad at all. Just reverse your turn and river play. Don't give a free card with 2 potential flush draws out there. Of course if you get check raised you know you are in trouble. You kept the pot small with a one pair hand and got to a cheap showdown.
