push preflop, you want to isolate shortie and the dead money in the pot and avoid giving scoot315 a free shot at a good flop.

Ditto, plus if both hands contain an ace or king then it's better for you to get them to call PF anyway, right?

Looks like Taylor has AA , so you are unlikely to win anything already on the table. Betting the $54.35 does what? Reduces the field, but the flop doesn't nurture a calling hand. What if Scoot hit his small pair for trips?? A $10 bet would tell you that if he raises back at you. It would save you $44 as well.
From where I'm sitting you had everything to lose and nothing to gain. IMO

the problem is by betting $10 you're asking for someone to push you off your hand. The pot is already $60... and the other villain has $55 left.
