Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
Why did you go into calling station mode? Raise that flop and fold to a re-raise. Plan on betting the turn and value bet the river.

Wait for a less drawy flop to get passive.

Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
I raise flop here (and probably fold to a 3-bet, very read-dep.), and might check behind on a non-scary turn (most often bet there though).

Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
Looks good. I sometimes raise the turn. If I'm going to play a big pot with AK, I rather do it on the turn than flop.

I'm new to this, but I wonder what hand do you put the villain on here? Weaker ace? An underpair? Are either of these going to keep betting once the Q hits?

Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
If you know for sure that he never semi-bluffs I guess this is ok play... I don't like that Q on the turn, but can't really fold here either so I like turn/river if you play like that on the flop. As a standard i raise this flop however

Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
Raise the turn, or at worst the river. No way you just call the river unless it was his all in.... Otherwise I dont mind letting him control the betting...

Re: AKs in Position How\'s this?
I think calling station is a reasonable approach to keep the pot at a reasonable level. Chances are you're ahead the whole time, but how large of a pot do you want to play with your A's?
