20\" and above flat monitor help needed!
I now have 21" Samsung CRT 1100 monitor that can run 1600x1200 resolution (max that I need) with 85 Hz refresh rate!
Due to moving to a new location with less space I'm forced to buy flat screen monitor! But, the problem is that every 20" or above flat screen monitor I check has only 60 Hz refresh rate at 1600x1200! Now my questions are: 1. Is 1600x1200 at 60 Hz watchable over couple of hours (for example that refresh rate kills me in 15 minutes on CRT, 75 is bareable but only 85 Hz and above are good)? 2. Are there any flat monitors that have higher refresh rates? 3. What flat monitor would you recomend as the best choice for multitabling? Thanks for all the answers in advance! |

Re: 20\" and above flat monitor help needed!
I assume you're talking about an LCD monitor? if so, don't worry about the refresh rate. do a search for the dell 2001fp, it's the cheapest LCD that everyone loves.
note that if you play only on Party Poker, you may not need this resolution anymore, since window sizes are now changeable |

From here .
[ QUOTE ] Some users of a CRT may notice a bit of an annoying flicker, which is an inherent trait based on a CRTs physical components. Today's graphics cards, however, can provide a high refresh rate signal to the CRT to get rid of this otherwise annoying problem. LCDs are flicker-free and as such the refresh rate isn't an important issue with LCDs. [/ QUOTE ] |
