Since you reraised preflop, I'd raise this flop as well. Raise it to $30. If he calls or reraises, you can shut down. You're representing AA/KK/AK here, and he'll have a tough time calling with a weaker king (but you know that if he calls he has at least that much, which beats you)

The line you took in the hand cost you about that much in calls, but it could easily have been more if villain was more aggressive on later streets.

I agree, you've got to bet sometime to find out where you are in the hand and doing it on the flop is going to save you money with a more aggressive opponent.

I like raising the flop to $35 to see where you're at. Villain didn't play his hand very well.

bump

are you sure about this? It sounds like you believe villain always has Kx here.

heres what im thinking:

raise= finds out where I am at, worse hands always fold.

call= may be behind, but villain isnt showing much strength and worse hands may continue betting

Does anyone think I should still raise this flop?

If you raise here it'll be as a bluff.
Against most reasonable opponents i think you have to fold the flop. If he isn't reasonable calling down is fine - you're actually WA/WB here... problem is you're WB against most reasonable opponents.

Your reasoning might have merit. Against a more aggressive opponent just calling can put you in a difficult position though. How do you reply to a pot bet on the turn?

I don't think many worse hands will continue betting here. If they do and they bet it properly (not like Villain) you lose the hand anyway.

If you're doing anything but folding to a pot bet on the turn versus an unknown you hate money.

of course i am folding to a full pot bet on the turn with QQ. However, I usually reraise preflop with AK, and will also coldcall this flop with it too. I think the decision here is mainly on the flop. After calling the first bet, i cant possibly fold to the others.
