Yada yada, I use pokerroom, can't use converter...
10 10 on the button PRE-FLOP UTG bets $1, UTG+1 calls $1, UTG+2 calls $1, MP1 calls $1, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, HERO calls $1, SB folds, BB folds. Just opened up the table, started in BB so only 3 hands in w/ no reads. Do I call this raise with so many callers? I figured I was against overcards, possibly higher pocket pair, but a flopped set woulda been huge here...or was I spewing chips? Flop came A high, bets and raises to me and I'm out. |

THis was .5/1. UTG raised, making it a dollar. I coldcalled the raise w/ 10 10. I should three bet, huh? Can somone elaborate a bit? I though about doing it, but why do you prefer it over the coldcall:?

Equity. While there's a good chance 3 or so overcards are present, it's also highly likely that some lower PP's and crappy lower suited connectors are in as well. You'll win significantly more than 20% of the time here.
