check raised on turn, common situation
This is a kind of common situation-what should you look at when you get checkraised here? Im sure AF plays a role, but in this situation, villian was new to the table.

Call down. People love to bluff when the board pairs, especially HU.

Re: check raised on turn, common situation
*grunch*
this is for many people a standard-move against a alleged steal-raise to get value for better hands and scare the attacker who missed. Without reads I would proceed very cautiosly though. call that raise, call river depending on what card hits. Check through the river if he either is so stupid to try this move twice in a row or tries to induce a bluff. you will be shown trips here very often. But you are good often enough to warrant a call-down, I think. |

Toss a couple more BB in there and I'd be more inclined to call down, or else give me a read. We have neither in this case. |

[/ QUOTE ] He didn't say what limits this is, but I don't think bluff check-raising the turn against a player showing strength is a standard move for very many players at all in .5/1 or 1/2. In my experience it is pretty remarkable how often you will be shown the exact hand he is representing here. |

pooh-bah time...show us the goods. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, just wasted it on an OOT post. I'm not in the mood to come up with something inspirational right now and I don't want to put off posting for the rest of the day. |
