Default Steal the pot HU

Do you ever try to steal these kind of pots when OOP?

Sure, I also often bet those flops (against non-callingstations)

it depends on your read of the cutoff. plenty of 5/10 players are calling that turn bet with gutshot draws and small pairs, and i don't want to fire another barrel on the river.

I think if villain has anything on the flop he will bet it. If he calls the turn with a gutter I at least know he's an überdonk.
I'd like to hear more opinions about this, since it's a common situation but maybe not as easy as it seems.

You need him to fold to your bet around 45% of the time. It can be a little less cause sometimes you'll hit a 6 or a 9 and it'll go check, check and you are good.

Does he fold that often?

Anybody got any data on it?

Run an sql query

I would rather steal when I had a higher non-pair. That way we at least have a backup, and if he calls the turn but checks behind the river, we have a shot at winning also. Granted this doesn´t happen all that often, but I think it adds enough to be a significant factor.

Bluffing the flop is also much cheaper, so needs to work less often.

from my expiriences the vilian would fold to that bet 80%, he limped preflop, with A or K he would probably raise (dont know his stats)

I'd be more inclined to lead the flop.

Doesn't anybody else think this just screams he wants you to bluff at the turn? On the other hand he openlimped in the CO so maybe he is just bad. Without more of a read I am not sure but I think I would let him have this small pot.
