Hand on Full tilt
Ok this hand really confused me. I thought i was ahead on the flop and lead out but with the raise and the re-raise coming out of left field i folded on the river. Did i misplay this?

Re: Hand on Full tilt
Betting out was correct on the flop, but after that raise, I'm guessing that I'm probably behind to either a set or a better Jack. You've provided no reads and I don't know how Full Tilt plays, but you have a vulnerable hand with no BD flush or straight draws, so you're down to 3 outs. I'd c/f the turn when I get no help.
The battle here is really between thehoov and JBROSA, and you're just getting caught up in it. Folding on the river is absolutely the right move given the play. If you weren't beaten already, that Ace finished you off. |

Re: Hand on Full tilt
Yeah the intial raiser flipped a 4 making two pair and the re-raiser had a weak jack. it was my first orbit so no real reads. I was actually kind of happy i was ahead. Figured I would be able to take advantage later on.

Re: Hand on Full tilt
Yup, that's a good note for later. I guess I don't play the 0.25/0.50 enough, because I figured you very likely to be behind on the turn. Until you witness those kinds of plays, however, it's good to be a little cautious early on.
