double donked
canterbury 15/30 9 handed
villain here is a HUGE donkey. Likely around 70/5. He can be tricky occasionally post-flop, but for the most part is honest. villain limps UTG. I raise next in with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], maybe a monkey or 2 calls behind i really don't recall. Flop comes down A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] checks, to me and i bet, all fold except for villain. turn HU: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] villain now leads, I raise, villain calls. river: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] villian now donks again, I.......... |

Re: double donked
I'd raise and fold to a 3-bet. Or call if the pot is big enough. Like 10 or 11 BB big.
Villain might be thinking he can lead with his pair of Aces since no third heart came or that 7 on the river counterfeited your A3. |

Re: double donked
because villians hand range is so wide here I def raise this. Its funny, I was thinking about a hand like this last night...
most of the time villian will show a weak ace (thinking he will split), a busted draw, or some q3/a3 crap. i think you are good here more than 50% of the time. also, if hes 'tricky' this seems like an easy CR for him, even for a donkey. -ryan |
