Recovering from a losing session
I just went through a couple of terrible sessions, losing 15-25 bb three straight times. I felt fine sitting at the table after one, but after two and three straight losing sessions, I begin to doubt myself.
What do you recommend for regaining confidence after brutal sessions and runs such as these so that you don't end up playing weak-tight poker? (I know that 3 straight losing sessions isn't the worst ever, but it still hurts) |

Re: Recovering from a losing session
These things happen. It is apart of the swings in poker. Just learn to minimize your losses and keep a level head so you don't go on tilt. I know its easier said then done but if you can do those things or try to make headway towards those things then you will be that much better off.
Trust me it does help. Good luck and don't sweat it. Ed S. |

Re: Recovering from a losing session
If I have a couple losing sessions I usually like to change games, rooms, or sites. Usually I'll go from Hold 'Em to Omaha 8 or better. After I play Omaha for awhile I come back to Hold 'Em with a better perspective.

This is where women come in handy. I usually work on raising my 4X a year average.
