Default Overpair facing resistance (NL 0.25 Big Blind).

0.25 Big Blind NL on Absolute, 6 handed.

** Preflop ** :

I have Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG and raise to 1$, EP2 calls, everybody fold to vilain in the BB who calls.

** Flop (~$3) ** : 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Vilain checks, I bet 2$, EP2 calls, Valain min raises, I call, EP2 folds.

** Turn (~$13) ** : 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Vilain checks, I bet 6.25, he calls.

** River (~$25) **: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Vilain checks, what should I do ? (I have 12$ left)

Thank you for your help.

Isn't it more likely he has a PP than some kind of 86 ?

It would be nice if someone could give his/her opinion and explain why I should have bet/checked.

Raise a little bit more pre-flop, I generally like $1.25. Depending on table dynamics, possibly more if the table is loose.

As for the flop play, I'll usually 3-bet the min-raise since I expect to see A7 or a pocket pair a lot of the time here.

I check this turn a ton of the time especially after the minraise and then call bet/bet river. As played I'd probably move all-in its less than half the pot you'll get called more worse hands then better ones so the bet is profitable.

Various opinions on that hand.
If you are curious about the outcome I actually moved all in on river, got called and lost to 52s (!).
