Default 5/5 NL Live: two pair gone awry...

Villian is a TAG, but who is a little too willing to call with draws. He rarely fires two or three bullets with air (although this is less relevant in this hand). 6-handed, I have 2.5K villian has me covered. I have 9h8h in SB. Villian makes it 60 on button. He doesn't need THAT much to do this. I call, 3 other callers. Flop is Qc9c8s. Check to villian, who bets 125. I raise to 350 straight. He thinks for a while and calls. Turn Js. My plan is?

Or club draw or a hand like Q10...This turn really wasn't a good card for me even though the club did not come. I'm just wondering what the right amount to bet is or if it's better to check to control pot size/induce a bluff on the river.

checking is good if he's got AA/KK he'll certainly check behind. but if he's got QQ i'm sure he's putting it in.

Does this guy always raise 12bbs PF? I'm just wondering if the size of his PF raise has any correlation to what hand he may be holding.

This is shorthanded latenight game...Standard preflop raise is 35-80, preflop is raised virtually every time, with semi-frequent reraising.

I think you need to end the hand immediately. I think I'd lead out with about 600 on the turn and fold to a reraise. He'd have to have some pretty big cajones to bluff without a T, and I think you should be able to get a pair to fold. The only problem is if he has a flush draw. But I dont typically play in 500bb games, so I could be way off base here.

I really dont think he has QQ here. If he had QQ he probably would have put in another raise on the flop on such a draw heavy board.

Ok...Maybe this can spark a little more discussion. I check turn to reevaluate, and he checks behind. River Ah, for board of Q98JA, with no flush possible. My plan now?
