Default TT EP ... completely lost.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t800 (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

BB (t28529)
UTG (t48564)
UTG+1 (t24157)
Hero (t18950)
MP2 (t25870)
CO (t30737)
Button (t81068)
SB (t69703)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls t800, 1 fold, Hero raises to t3000, 4 folds, BB calls t2200, UTG calls t2200.

Flop: (t8550) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets t4500, BB calls t4500, UTG folds.

Turn: (t17550) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero ???

No reads on this particular player as he is new to the table. I honestly had no clue what to do here...I don't want to give free cards a draw, yet don't want to commit myself to the pot.

i think i'm cheecking behind here, and calling most bets on the river, and if checked to on the river, might make a tiny value bet for smaller PP's.

I agree, we need to think about pot control here, and a check raise makes us vomit uncontrollably.

Pot control? Hero only has 11450 left. Pot is 17k. Ship it!

(The times you're up against a heart draw or a smaller PP outweigh the times he has a Q, I feel. Remember, there are only two cards out to beat you unless he's got an overpair, which seems unlikely.)

The question you have to ask yourself is: Can you get away from this hand? If you can, then check it and see what happens on the river.

I couldn't, and would push the turn. Probably big ace or smaller pocket pair. You are ahead the vast majority of the time here. Put on the pressure!

I check behind and play the river passively.

easy continuation bet of 1/2 the pot or maybe 40%. They have to respect that you have a hand with your preflop raise, don't they. If you get a reraise, easy fold to higher pocket pair or set. If you get a call, I check/fold on through unless i hit the boat on turn or river.

Why is everyone scared and giving free cards? You showed strength preflop, now continue!!!

I push the turn. There are 2 flush draws out there and there is too much in the pot. If villain has a Q, too bad.

Preflop, I might have limped, but that depends on my read of UTG and the table.

I have my own windmill for this (just wish the flag would be swedish. grr)

I hope they don't have a Q and if they do, lucky them but I don't think so and I get called by a smaller PP like 8 or 9's and I win.

His call on the flop says draw all over it. He sees the draw out there, if he's got a queen he's pushing u all in in case your on a draw
