Default Some NYC-are gaming news

1. Aztar (owner/operator of the Tropicana in AC) has announced plans to open a casino in Allentown, PA, which is only 1.5 hours from the city. They may or may not be successful in this bid.

2. Foxwoods has broken ground on a $700M expansion to expand the gaming floor, add non-gaming shops, and hotel rooms. From the DB report: "Foxwoods recently
announced that it would be expanding the casino's poker room by about 50%, to 114 tables. Although the poker room is already large at 76 tables, Foxwoods noted that they run at 100% capacity over the weekends and are at 85% capacity during the week."

That would be a slots barn only. PA has not authorized any gaming other than slots, and even that is tied up in a court challenge.
