TT in blind vs maniac
Villain is one of my number one buddies. He is a total maniac 75/20/6 and likes to bluff post-flop.
edit: the overbet PFR is not unusual for villain Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx BB ($196.85) UTG ($100) MP ($135.78) Button ($161.55) Hero ($95.85) Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $1. Hero posts a blind of $0.50. UTG calls $1, MP raises to $10, 2 folds, Hero? |

Re: TT in blind vs maniac
Calling is out of the question. You're probably just going to have to make a stand and fire in a healthy raise. However, your initial limp indicated weakness so you're probably looking at a 3rd raise for most of your chips. If you're comfortable with the variance then get it all in before the flop. If not, fold after the first raise and wait for a better spot to make your stand.

Calls and plays for set value. [/ QUOTE ] Do you think he's getting the right implied odds to put in so much PF out of position? |

Of your choices.
Pushing is long term -EV Calling in hopes of trips (plus push after flop) may get you the implied odds, assuming trip 10s would win. Fold and wait for a better opportrunity to make a stand against such an opponent. Of these, I would fold. |

[/ QUOTE ] If he thinks villain will go to the wall with AA, then yes. By calling you are also giving UTG better odds to call which helps out your implied odds as well. Everything is read dependent. I have stacked villains many times with a set from the blinds. No one expects it. |

I was in the blind. I did not limp.

Re: TT in blind vs maniac
I would say this is a blatant violation of the 5/10 rule.
