Default I went broke on the 2nd hand!?

15K Guarantee at UB. Blinds are 5/10, stacks are all 1500 or so. Hero is UTG+2 with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Pre-Flop:
UTG raises to 45, UTG+1 calls, Hero re-raises to 175. 5 others call.

Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (Pot = about 1100)
SB checks, BB bets 150, fold, fold, Hero raises to 1325 all-in. Fold, SB calls, BB folds.

Should I have raised more pre-flop? Do I consider laying this hand down on the flop? What would you have done?

I raise about the same amount preflop. 3x the opening raise and +1 for the cold caller or 180 total. I would probably only raise to about 500-600 on the flop hoping to get action from a Q with weak kicker. The pot is 1100 and you only have a little bit more than that in your stack. Folding an overpair with this shallow a structure is weak.

Don't be results oriented.

the only thing you have to worry about are sets. you could've re-raised smaller on the flop to see if he is representing one. Maybe raise to 500? If he pushes, consider folding.

I think a raise to 600 might be a better idea. My reasoning is that if the bettor has a set you're broke anyways but if he has something like A-Q he might fold to a push when he would have a called/pushed to your raise.
