I need to learn how to check OOP
Villain is 17/15 after 80 hands.
Turn bet is rather awful, isn't it? After being raised I think it's better to muck, since I put him on AQ/QK very often. Re: I need to learn how to check OOP
You have to bet this turn, good job. That said, you have to fold the turn.
I see no other way to play. |

Fold to the turn raise. Other than that you are fine.
I'll occassionally check/call this turn and river if someone is getting aggro with me. |

Re: I need to learn how to check OOP
Could you elaborate why the turn bet is superior?
He never folds a better hand and if I give a free card to AJ or ATs then let it be. |

[/ QUOTE ] You don't want him to freeroll to 6 outs (his range is wider than AJ for opening from the CO), nor have to pay off the turn/river against a better hand that will value bet you (or have to fold to a hand that will bluff you if you just check to them). Split HUSH please? |

[/ QUOTE ] Giving a free cards to those specific hands wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But, what about all the hands you don't have dominated? These hands have have 6 outs against you, which is way to many to be giving free cards to. |

Re: I need to learn how to check OOP
I don't see much hands that are worse than mine and have 6 outs.

Re: I need to learn how to check OOP
You are right, the majority of hands you are beating have about 14 outs or 10 outs. JT, J8, J6 are a few. Remember, he was trying to steal from the CO, so who knows what his range might be. KT and KJ both have 7 outs.

Re: I need to learn how to check OOP
17/15 is rather tight PFR and was 3-bet preflop from the blind. I don't think he would peel with the abovementioned hands. (KTs maybe)

(KTs maybe) [/ QUOTE ] 17/15 may be tight, but this is a blind stealing situation. Since you didn't mention his ASB, we have no idea how liberally he steals. Also, people love to peel on the flop, even if it was 3-bet. |
