I had exact same board except I had KK and flopped a king and lost the same way. One of the few times I needed to stop playing due to frustration.

Doesn't make me cry. I love to have guys like that at my table. I couldn't put him on a straight because of his 3bet pf and on the flop unless I knew he was a maniac, so I'd cap the flop versus an unknown, but play it the way you did against a known maniac.
