Confusion: Rakeback and Bonuses
I'm confused about the effects of bonuses on rakeback. Can someone please clear this up for me?
Hypothetical Example: Empire is offering 100% on $100 = $100 bonus if deposit is made by 11/14. Rakeback for October (not paid til 11/15) is $79. Rakeback SO FAR for November is $21. If I now deposit $100 and get the $100 bonus, what happens? A. Do they subtract the $100 bonus from accumulated rakeback ($79 + $21 = $100) negating the bonus entirely? B. Do they simply not add anything to my current rake back until the bonus is cleared? Or ??? Thank you much! |

Re: Confusion: Rakeback and Bonuses
The $100 comes off of your MGR. It does not count off of your rakeback until it is cleared.
Example Bonus = $100, your MGR while clearing bonus is $100. This would have no effect on your rakeback, it would be as if you did not play these hands. If your rake during that period was only $75 then $25 would come off of your MGR (the number your rakeback % is taken from) If you generated more rake then $100 then this amount would go towards your MGR and the amount over $100 would be figured into your rakeback. You can never lose by taking the bonus. You will never owe your affiliate money. If you fail to clear it then it doesnt count against you at all. |

Re: Confusion: Rakeback and Bonuses
It is worth noting that there are some poker rooms that do not subtract bonus $'s from MGR... Absolute and some of the cryptos for example.
