Suited Connectors
It has been said that a 5 6 suited connector is better than a suited 5 7 but I somehow doubt that.
Example: If the flop comes 3 4 K. Then the 56 suited connector would have made an open ended straight. However the chance of that occuring is the same as the flop showing 4 6 K. In that case, the 5 7 suited would have made an open ended straight instead of the 5 6 suited connector. The chance of 3 4 K occuring is the same as 4 6 K. |

Re: Suited Connectors
The 56 is capable of making:
23456 34567 45678 56789 for a total of 4 straights the 57 is capable of making 34567 45678 56789 for a total of 3 straights.... That's why the 56 is better... |

You're either the greatest poker analyst of your generation or just a little bit confused.

Re: Suited Connectors
I think it goes that 56 is better in multi-way, 57 is better heads-up.

Re: Suited Connectors
56 is better, but I find 57 a little more attractive. What's that word for an imperfection that makes something even more beautiful?

[/ QUOTE ] A friend of mine loved his five-five, and it was really fast, but my favorite will always be my 58. I certainly wish I still had it, it would be worth a lot of BBs. |
