Default KK line check

Villain's a Lag, but no incredible read. I've only seen him play 20 hands or so and he's in the ballpark of 35/10/2.5

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

BB ($10.95)
UTG ($45.35)
MP ($11.50)
Button ($50.45)
Hero ($24.75)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds</font>, Hero (poster) raises to $1.4</font>, 1 fold</font>, UTG calls $1.25.

Flop: ($3.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero bets $3</font>, UTG calls $3.

Turn: ($9.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero bets $5</font>, UTG calls $5.

River: ($19.25) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero checks, UTG bets $16</font>, Hero calls $15.25 (All-In).

Final Pot: $50.50

Turn and River are debatable. A bigger bet may not get a call if he's got a 10, he could check behind if I check it and there are too many draws. I checked planning on calling any bet from a missed draw.

Good. Maybe bet 7 on the turn, doesn't really matter all that much though.

yeah hoped that a smaller bet on turn would mean a smaller pot and thus smaller value bet if villain has me beat on the river

I prefer the attitude: I want to bet bigger so that I stack this fool on the river.

Flops good, turn is bad for reasons stated above.

I fold the river against some opponents.

Good Point. He stacked me 2 hands before when I got it in PF against him with KK against his AA so I was momentarily shook

Why do we check the river if we call an all-in bet? Are we trying to induce a bluff?

Yep. Hero's line looks like missed overs/missed spades. Villain should bet quite a few hands after our river check that he would have folded if we bet out. I don't think leading on the river folds any hands that beat us.

Advantages of leading with a push: If villian has a piece of the board, such as AT, he might call.

Advantages of check/calling: If villian has a missed draw, he may bluff.
