Default Sorry about the heartburn.

I am sorry to have caused so much heartburn about my previous post. I probably should have posted in the probabilty section. I am 58 years old and am fairly new to the computer age. I still do not have a cell phone. However, I did post my results accurately and that was why I found them a little hard to believe myself. I approach most things systematically. I did so with blackjack 40 years ago and have I fairly good track record. I purchased my computer 3+ years ago and did a years worth of reading, studying, and practice with things such as TTH before I began playing 21 months ago. Understand, I have been playing poker for 40 years, just not Texas Hold'em. I was only trying to determine what could be considered the short run statistically. To me, 182,000 plus hands is not the long run. I have read where numerous players have talked about their really bad losing streaks in terms of years. I do not have anyone with whom I can compare my play with and discuss how I played my hands. I can only compare them to what I have read in books such as SSH. I play positon well and haved compared my hands with those in the tables in SSH and find that I do play as indicated. Before I play each hand, I determine the type of game, position, and situation. I do understand and act to protect my hands. I understand the concept of how the size of the pot affects play, odds etc. I apologize and will not bother you with any more of my posts. Thanks to people such as Dr Van Nostrin who did offer helpful comments.
