Re: QQ Line Good?
I do not re-raise this preflop out of position. This changes the whole hand. As it is, I would almost always check this flop, but not always fold to a flop bet. I think continuation betting here is generally pretty wrong, given the wawb (with the focus on b) here.

Re: QQ Line Good?
What do you mean by "wawb", especially the "b"?

Final Pot: $28.75 [/ QUOTE ] Your reraise preflop depends very much on reads. If UTG+1 is tight, then I think this is a call. If he is loose, then your raise is very good. If you have no read, I'm defaulting to call. I know that seems passive, but I strongly dislike QQ out of position against a preflop raiser (so much can go wrong and so little can go right). As it was, you reraised and led the flop for 3/4 of the pot. You've given UTG+1 every indication that you have a strong hand containing an Ace and he doesn't seem to mind. Unfortunately, because you are OOP, you basically have to give this hand up when the Jack falls on the turn because the one hand you were beating on the flop is now killing you. While it's true that villain may only have TT or 99 and we may still be ahead on the turn, the only play here is check/fold. Villain's overall handrange is killing us. Overall, well played, but too aggressive preflop (without a specific read) for my tastes. |
